James Buena Quines, MD, 67, of Battle Creek, died Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Bronson Battle Creek surrounded y his family. He was born October 11, 1944 in Albay, Legaspi, Philippines, the son of Salvador R. and Corazon (Buena)Quines.
James received his Doctoral degree in Medicine from Southwestern University, in addition to several other degrees.
He literally had a vast academic background coupled with very extensive experience specifically in the field of the medical profession and in human health care services. He has practiced as a Medical Director and Staff Physician and Surgeon in Africa and in Thailand, not only as a doctor, but as a missionary. James studied the medical profession and worked for more than 25 years in 5 countries, mostly in the third world as a medical doctor and four years as a nurse here. He also owned and operated "Quines" Medical Transcription Service since 2002.
Dr. James B. Quines was united in marriage to Rugene Papa on Just 8, 1987 in Lesotho, South Africa.
James was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Tabernacle and enjoyed reading and traveling.
