Mr. Edward B. Byrd, 89, of Dawsonville, died peacefully at his home Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010.
He was the loving husband of 59 years of Irma Maria J. Byrd.
Born Oct. 6, 1921, in Washington, he was the son of the late Joseph D. and Lillian Brewer Byrd; and brother to the late Joseph D. Byrd.
He is survived by his wife and many cousins.
Ed was a member of the Farmers Club and the Cattleman's Association. Ed lived and worked on the farm his entire life.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, at Darnestown Presbyterian Church, 15120 Turkey Foot Road, Gaithersburg.
Interment will follow on "Locust Grove III", the family farm in Dawsonville, where Ed lived his entire life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either Montgomery Hospice, 1355 Piccard Drive, Suite 100, Rockville, MD 20850 or the Darnestown Presbyterian Church.
