Herman L. Vogt, of 741 Amherst rd., NE.,
local contractor and member of the original Massillon Tiger football team, died at noon today after an illness of one and one-half years. Two daughters, Mrs. Marian Eckroate and Miss Evelyn Vogt, at home; a son, Lieut. Reinhart E. Vogt, who is stationed at the United States air base at Grosse Isle, Mich.; a brother, Elmer O. Vogt, of Massillon; and three grandchildren survive. Mr. Vogt was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church, Massillon council No. 554, Knights of Columbus, and the Holy Name society. The body is at the Heitger funeral home pending completion of funeral arrangements.
