Mrs. Charles Alberts passed away at her home on N. Line street Wednesday morning at 3 o'clock, after an illness of the past few months with cancer trouble. Elizabeth Shindorf was born in Ohio on Oct. 20, 1846, and came to Michigan with her parents, settling at Otisco Township. On September 14, 1869 she was united in Marriage to Charles Alberts, and they moved to Maple Grove 40 years ago, where they resided until 11 years ago when they moved to Chesaning. Four children were born to them Edward and Nettie, deceased, and Frank of Maple Grove, and Mrs. Carrie Drexler, of St. Charles, who survive, together with the husband, 12 grand children and 13 great grand children, several brothers and sisters and a large circle of warm friends. Mrs. Alberts was a staunch Christian and faithful member of the Catholic church and her funeral will be held on Friday morning at 9 o'clock from Our Lady of Perpetual Help church. Rev. Fr. Studer officiating, and burial will be made on the family lot in the Maple Grove cemetery.
