Born March 14, 1940 in Millstone, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Elzie, Sr. and Mary Alice (Webb) Kiser, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Leslie Kiser on July 30, 2004 and one granddaughter, Samantha Gibson on July 29, 2005.
Mrs. Gibson was a homemaker and they lived in Whitesburg, Kentucky before moving to Madison in 1963. She enjoyed Gospel music, puzzles, visiting with friends and caring for her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Clifford Gibson whom she married on October 29, 1960; two sons, Timothy W. Gibson and his wife, Anne and Michael G. Gibson and his wife, Kimberly both of Madison; seven sisters, Nannie Smith, Juda Miles and Elsie Kay Sexton all of Whitesburg, KY, Marie Sturgill of Wise, VA, Ruby Bell of Fairborn, OH, Alpha Cox of St. Louis, MO and Anna Huffington of Madison; one brother, Elzie Kiser, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren; Mary Murray, Stephen Gibson, Whitney Gibson and Christopher Gross; six great-grandchildren, Tyler, Sophia, Zackary, Lydia, Landen and Jordyn and several nieces and nephews.
Pastor Jeff Pflug will conduct funeral services at 1:30 P.M. Sunday, January 22, 2012 at the Vail-Holt Funeral & Cremation Service, 117 Holt Drive with interment in New Prospect Cemetery.
Family and friends may call at the Vail-Holt Funeral & Cremation Service, 117 Holt Drive from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Saturday, January 21, 2012 and from 12:00 noon Sunday until time of service.

Doris A. (Kiser) Gibson, age 71, of Hanover, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the King's Daughters' Hospital.
