DONALD T. RENWICK

Donald T. Renwick, 86, died Tuesday, January 13, 2004 at Rest Haven (?) York. He was the husband of Anna (Comitz) Renwick to whom he was married for 57 years. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist, 140 N. Beaver St., York with his pastor , the Rev. David W. Lovelace, officiating. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with full military rites provided by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born December 4, 1917 in Chester Hill, Pa., a son of the late Thomas S. and Sarah Ann (Poorman) Renwick, he was a 1935 graduate of Philipsburg High School and retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1980 after 25 years of service. Mr. Renwick had been a police reporter for York Sunday News and was a charter member of Boys Club of York and a member of Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist, National Assoc. of Retired Federal Employees, AARP Chapter 1578 York West, and West York, VFW Post #8951. He was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of WWII where he served with 392nd Air Reserve squadron, 5th Air Force. In addition to his wife, Mr. Renwick is survived by a son, William R. Renwick of Wrightsville; two granddaughters; and a sister, Corinne C. Richards of Elizabethtown. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew T. Renwick. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Disease Research, 15825 Shady Grove Road, Suite 140, Rockville, MD 10850; or to Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist, 140 N. Beaver Street, York, PA 17404.


He was a U. S. Army Air Corp veteran of WWII where he served with 392nd Air Service squadron, 5th Air Force.
