Don was born to Erchell and Grace "Jerri" (Howell) Allen. He was a mechanic. He was a resident of Mabank for two and a half years after moving from Dallas. Survivors include his wife, Pat Allen, sons, Charles Allen, Daniel Allen, Terrell D. Allen and Terry L. Escalera, daughters Judy Howle, Donna Pfeil and Jerry D. Allen, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters Betty Pippert, Delores Allen and Juanita Loss. He was preceded in death by his parents, a step-father, Wallace Pierson, brothers Richmond Allen, Orvel Allen and Robert "Bobby" Allen. Don passed away at 9:03 AM CST Wednesday, February 4, 2004 at the age of 69. Arrangements were under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
