Walter Gerald (Bill) McCrosky, Rochester, passed away January 10, 2012 at St. Anthony's Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.

He was born November 29, 1911 to Harley and Birdella Mogle McCrosky. He graduated from Fulton High School in 1929 and attended a Purdue Agricultural Short Course. He married Charlotte Jewell on January 1, 1942.

McCrosky was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and Lend-a-Hand Sunday School class. He was a member of the Fulton Masonic Lodge for 79 years. In 1983 the Fulton Masonic Lodge honored him with a dinner and program for being a member for 50 years. In 2008, they honored him again for his 75 years of membership. He was also a member of the South Bend Scottish Rite Lodge and the Fort Wayne Mizpah Shrine. He was a former board member of the Fulton County Soil and Water Conservation District. He was a retired farmer who lived 100 years in Liberty Township. In June 2011 after the passing of his wife, Charlotte, he moved to a nursing home in Waterloo, Illinois. A party was held at the nursing home to celebrate his 100th birthday.

He is survived by a son, Dr. Don McCrosky and wife Lois, Waterloo, Il., and a daughter, Julia Baas and husband Jan of Berthoud, Co. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Chad Baas, David McCrosky, Rob Baas and Melinda Oatman, all of Colorado, and Laura Berkerey of Waterloo, Il. He has seven great grand children.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife of 69 1/2 years, Charlotte.
