Howard Tom Chrisco (B: 16 Jun 1919, Timber, Missouri; D: 24 Aug 2006) was the son of Dan B. Chrisco and Laura L. Redwine (Social Security Applications).

In 1920, Newton, Shannon County, Missouri; Howard Chrisco was enumerated with his parents Daniel & Lauria Chrisco and half-sisters Mary Morrison, Gladys Morrison, and Lillian Morrison (1920 Census).

In 1930, Newton, Shannon County, Missouri; Howard T. Chrisco was enumerated with his parents Daniel B. & Laura L. Chrisco; sister Irene Chrisco; and half-sister Lillian Morrison (1930 Census).

In 1940, Salem, Dent County, Missouri; Howard Tom Chrisco was enumerated with his parents Dan Barnett & Laura Lillian Chrisco and sister Margaret Irene Chrisco (1940 Census).

Howard [Service #37-053-298] was serving with E Battery, 200th Coast Artillery (Anti-Aircraft) in the Philippines when Imperial Japanese invaded the island nation. Howard was commandeered as a POW to a trucking detail after the fall of Bataan and was not forced onto the Bataan Death March. He and several other men were assigned to drive and maintain American-made trucks out of Bacolod, Negros. In July 1943, Chrisco and a handful of other prisoners escaped. Finding refuge and fighting with Guerrillas, Chrisco was rescued by USS Crevalle (SS291) in May 1944. In 2003, Howard was recognized as an "Outstanding Missourian" by the Missouri House of Representatives.
