Services for Themistoclis (Tim) George Lountos, 78, of Thomasville will be held 12 noon, Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Father Robert O'Loughlin will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Lountos passed away January 7, 2011 at his residence. Born December 3, 1933 in Athens, Greece, he was the son of the late George Themistoclis Lountos and Vassiliki Petrou Lountos. Mr. Lountos immigrated to the United States in 1952 and came to Thomasville in 1965.

In 1977 in Athens, Greece, he married Spiridoula (Youla) Panakis Lountos, who survives. Mr. Lountos was retired owner of Waffle Shop in Thomasville and was a member of Holy Mother of God Greek Orthodox Church in Tallahassee.

Other survivors include his sons, Dr. George Lountos of Frederick, MD and Pete Lountos of Thomasville; sisters, Kathy Mathes and husband George of Thomasville, Tula Hatzelis and husband Antonis of Athens, Greece and Eleni Bakas and husband Apostolos of Athens Greece; nephews and nieces, Tommy Mathes and wife Maria of Leesburg, Andy Mathes and wife Chrisanthi of Charlotte, NC., Artemis Hatzelis, Mihalis Hatzelis, Maria Baka and Vicky Baka all of Athens, Greece; brother-in-laws Kostas Panakis and Hristos Panakis of Athens, Greece.

He was preceded in death by brother Gus Lountos.

Donations may be made to the Holy Mother of God Greek Orthodox Church, 1645 Phillips Rd, Tallahassee, Fl 32308. A Trisagion Service will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday at Allen & Allen Chapel. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm, Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at the funeral home. Guest may sign the online register at www.allenfh.com
