Pasqualue Giuseppe "Charles Joseph" was born of Italian immigrants, Antonio & Giuseppina (Tortorice) CAPPELLUCCI. He was the eldest son (of ten children). Charlie was raised as a farmer, working alongside his father and brothers until he purchased a farm of his own.

On June 2nd, 1934, Charlie married Maria Grazia "Mary Grace" IUPPA, the daughter of Antonio & Maria Grazia (Corradino) IUPPA.

During the depression, in an effort to bring in money to keep the family farm, Charlie worked in a liquor store in downtown Trinidad. Mary Grace worked as a school teacher. Charlie & Mary Grace raised one son, Anthony Jerald CAPPELLUCCI.

Charlie was active in the local horseracing circuit, having owned and raced many horses over the years with his son and brothers. He was active in local community groups and received numerous public service awards.

In 1974, Charlie lost his wife to breast cancer. After a struggle for several years with Lou Gehrig's disease, Charlie died in Villa Manor Nursing Home on December 29th, 1978."
