Kevin McEntire was born August 4, 1964 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He passed away at his home in Austin, Texas January 4, 2012. He was a 1982 graduate of Tuloso-Midway High School and attended SW Texas University. He worked in accounting from 1985 until his death.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents: Lynn and Norma McEntire and was the youngest child of seven.

He is survived by brothers: Ron and Don McEntire; sisters: Missy Houser, Lynda Lake, Michele Schuh, Robin Jantzen, family and friends, two who stood beside him throughout his life: Matt Martin and Tina Hobbs.

Kevin will be remembered as an ardent Longhorn fan, for his wit and humor, his deep faith in God and his love of music. He was bass guitarist in the Austin band Free Candy. He was loved by all who knew him and was known for his infectious smile.

Visitation with his family will be Monday, January 9, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Memory Gardens Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel, with interment to follow at the Memory Gardens Cemetery.
