William Tucker is the son of William Tucker & Julia Petit.

William is the *TWIN* of Philomene Tucker.

William is the husband of Matilda Paya/Payet. They married
Nov 27 1865 @ St.Peter's Church, in Mt.Clemens, Mi. Together they had 9 children; Edmund William, Joseph Michael, Julia E.Childs, Matilda F., Frances J. Peltier, Ida Sable Robson, Catherine M.(KITTY)Nash, Arthur John and Charles Arthur.

Capt. William Samuel Tucker did not receive his Headstone until October 17, 1925 by Railroad to Mt.Clemens. His grave was unmarked until then.

Pension: Pension Request filed by veteran 1/11/1890, Application 748813.
Widow (Matilda) filed request 6/20/1923, Application 1207065.
Both requests filed from Michigan.

Researchers Note: The military headstone for this veteran indicates a rank of Sergeant. The military record for this veteran makes no mention of this rank. Resolution is outside of the scope of this study.
