Muffin was adopted from a local animal shelter. She was approximately three months old when we got her. Our family of 4.5 felt it was time to get a family dog. Muffin was our first family dog and will always be remembered as the best and favorite.

Muffin had never been in a house before she came to our home but learned within three days where to do her business. She was smart, entertaining and always engaged. It did not take us long to realize that she had not had the best of starts in life. Muffin did not even know what dog food was. She would stand in the kitchen and if anything would drop she would scramble and gobble it up so fast. We believe she had been stuffed in someones back yard with a bunch of other dogs and the person would open the door and throw scraps out to feed the dogs. SO only the fast ate!

Muffin was a great dog. She was a special friend to our oldest son Ben. During her life he showed her in 4-H and they were special buddies.

When little .5 was born it really bothered Muffin when he would cry. She would run to me and then back to the baby and back to me as if to say... the puppy needs you stupid! Go to it!

She was especially protective of "her" children and would go into auto protection mode whenever a stranger was around. Her family meant everything to her and she took her self appointed job as guard dog very seriously.

When Muffin was about nine we got our second dog Zoe

Muffin went to be with Grandpa so that he would not be alone.

Muffin lived a long and rewarding life and we were blessed to have had her in our family.
