Kenneth H. Tarr, 66, completed his journey in life January 4, 2012, at home with his family.

He was born July 10, 1945, in French Lick, the son of Foster and Elizabeth Tarr.

Kenneth grew up in French Lick and graduated from high school there. He served in the U.S. Air Force at Grissom Air Base. He then worked as a bread man until retirement.

Kenneth was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed golfing, keeping a perfectly manicured lawn and doing crosswords on his front porch with his dog, Sugar. He developed many friendships this way with his neighbors. He was also known by many children as "The Popsicle Man."

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Sharon, who was his best friend; children, David (Tracy) Tarr and Elizabeth "Beth" Tarr; grandchildren, Elizabeth "Libby" and Devin; Mike Cobb; siblings, Sam (Katie) Tarr, Ronnie (Mary Ellen) Tarr, and Carolyn (Bob) Beck; constant companion Sugar a.k.a. Rin Tin Tin; and many nieces and nephews.

He will be missed by numerous friends.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call from 11:00 until 2:00 Monday, January 9, 2012, at Brady Lane Church of Christ. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 at the church. Kenny requested very casual attire for his celebration of life. Burial with military rites will follow at Meadowview Cemetery. Dinner at the church fellowship hall will follow the graveside services. All are welcome.
