Norm was born in Seattle, Washington and lived for periods of time in Kansas, California, and Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Mildred and his first wife, Mary Alice. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Savee, daughters Nola (Glen) Barber and Ginny (Ron) Bowman, three grandsons and seven great-grandchildren. He was also loved by Nancy's three children and 14 grandchildren.

Norm began his banking career at The First National Bank of Everett while still in high school. He then worked in his father's bank in Snohomish, Washington before attending Washington State University. In 1942 he went to work for the Federal Reserve Bank and eventually joined the Examination Department. He finished his career as Chief Examiner of the Federal Reserve 12th District (Western United States).

Norm and Mary traveled extensively after his retirement until Mary's death in 1989. He met Nancy and found life worth living again. Norm and Nancy traveled the world together and enjoyed golfing, hiking and almost anything musical. He was active in Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church and S.I.R.S. during his time in California.

Services will be held at Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, January 11 at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will be in Seattle, Washington beside his late wife, Mary. Memorials may be sent to Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church or McCall Rehab and Care Center, 418 Floyde, McCall, ID 83638.
