Funeral services for Frederick Pickens Grainger Sr., 49, of 1010 Cheraw Dr., will be conducted Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. in the Stoudenmire Chapel. Burial, directed by Stoudenmire Funeral Home, will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Mr. Grainger, owner of Fred Grainger's Used Cars, died Sunday afternoon in a Florence hospital after a long illness. He was born at Loris, a son of Mack and Mary Grainger. He had lived in Florence for the past 28 years.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Frances Cole Grainger of Florence; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mack Grainger of Loris; a daughter, Miss Freida Lynn Grainger of Charlotte, N.C. and Florence; two sons, Allard Dustin Grainger and Frederick Pickens Grainger Jr., both of home; and a brother, Douglas D. Grainger, of Loris.
