Beverly Ann Clerico was a daughter of William S. Smith & Rose M. Bordeaux Smith. She was married to John Anthony Clerico, son of Ralph E. Clerico and Loraine Grace O'Connell on Sept 3, 1962. She graduated from Pawhuska High Scoool in 1958 and attended OSU two years. She met her husband in College. They had one child, a daughter Diane Clerico. The Beverly Clerico Plaza was erected to memorialize her, a gift in her honor from her husband to the Edmon Low Library at OSU, in 2005. The plaza also was erected to serve as an inspiration to others.
