Robert R. Zenger, born April 7, 1927 in Endicott, NY to Mary and Emil Zenger, passed away on September 4, 2008 at his home in Marysville, WA. A Marysville resident since 1975, he served in the US Navy in the South Pacific and Japan from 1944-1946. He returned to Endicott, NY and married Margery Barton in 1948. They had one daughter there, Lynn, then moved to Snohomish, WA in 1953 where he and Margery had daughters, Denise, Barbara, and son Wayne. Robert worked in the lumber industry most of his life. He married Betty Brimm of Moses Lake, WA, in 1974, who brought three more wonderful kids to the family, Mary Kay, Thomas Carl, and Jay Edward.
Robert is survived by his wife, Betty; daughters, Lynn Churchill (Chuck), of Kent, WA, Denise Baker, of Arlington, WA, and Barbara Donovan (Don), of Sultan, WA; son, Wayne Zenger (Shannon), of Wilsonville, OR; three step-children, Mary Kay Burgess (Gary), of Spokane, WA, Tom Brimm (Vicki), of Moses Lake, and Jay Brimm (Samantha), of Arlington; two brothers, Jerry Zenger (Patti), of Portsmouth, NH, and Pete Zenger (Mary), of Yuma, AZ; sister, Beverly Lutskas (Al), of Spokane; 19 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no services at his request. Interment will be at Marysville Cemetery.
