From there he was shipped out of California to Manila on 2nd enlistment. On 3rd enlistment he was in San Francisco CA doing coastal artillary with 28th regiment Age: 28 1/12. Enlistment 4, Age: 31 at Presidio, San Francisco, CA as soldier for 28th Regiment Coastal Artillary. He spent some time at Camp McKinley, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA as a Corporal. He was in the Army for 30 years fighting in Boxer Rebellion, Spanish American War, and WWI. He rode a horse named Blackie.
