George Washington Sidebottom, 79, of Star Rte., Eldon, died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 1981, at a Fulton hospital where he had been a patient since May 5.
He was born Oct. 19, 1901, in Morgan County to George and Jessie Bias Sidebottom. Oct. 19, 1949, he was married in Versailles to Lottie Bunch, who survives.
A farmer, Mr. Sidebottom lived in the Rocky Mount community all of his life. He was a member of the Blue Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. Keith (Gertie) Moore, Gravois Mills.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Selby Graham, assisted by the Rev. Ed Teal, officiating. Burial was in Greenmore Memorial Gardens at Barnett.
