Sgt. Ervin was a 1983-84 Grenada and Beirut Veteran. During that time he was a Dragon Anti-tank Gunner and Section Leader.

Douglas Ray Ervin, 55, of Morrisville, Missouri, passed away December 26, 2011 peacefully in his home. He was born November 29, 1956 in Lousville, Kentucky, to John David and Johnnie Mae Ervin. He proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps. He was a beloved brother and friend to many. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 3 p.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield, Missouri. A vistation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North Thursday evening. Online condolences may be made at www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com
