Aloysius Ochs

Aloysius (Louie) Ochs, 61, of Seneca, a former resident of Lucinda, died at 2:50 p.m. Tuesday in the Oil City Hospital following an extended illness. He was born in Lucinda July 23, 1896, the youngest son of the late John and Elizabeth (Schill) Ochs.

Previous to his employment by The Derrick Publishing Company in June of 1956, he was an employe of Hunter Wilson, Barrel Department. Mr. Ochs was a member of the Knights of St. George in Lucinda.

Surviving are his widow, Rose Wolbert Ochs, a former resident of Lucinda and seven children; Dennis of Marble, Mrs. Denis ( Callista) Banner, Bernard and Norbert, all of Shippenville, Malcolm and Ronald of Erie and James of Oil City.

Other survivors include 23 grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Edward Ochs of Lucinda, Maurice Ochs of Parker, Mrs. Mary Hauwill of Lucinda and Minnie Ochs of Youngstown, Ohio.

The body was removed to the Morrison Funeral Home where friends may call after 3 p.m. today. A high requiem mass will be sung at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Stephen Church. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Lucinda.
