Provincetown, Mass (AP) - A graveside funeral service was planned for Nicholas B. Curtis, 23, of Dennis, a musician and son of actor Tony Curtis, who died Saturday after suffering a seizure. The younger Curtis was sleeping at a friend's house when he had a seizure, said Jennifer Walsh, secretary for the actor. The friend was unable to revive him, Walsh said. "Nicholas Curtis also had a seizure about a month ago and was undergoing tests to determine the cause", Walsh said, "We don't know anything more than that. And I don't know if we ever will". State Police Trooper Paul White said the case was under investigation, as is customary when the victim is young. The medical examiner's office, which performed an autopsy, did not return a telephone message Tuesday. White said no foul play was suspected. He said the rescue squad responded early Saturday to a report of someone choking at a home on Howland Street. Curtis was pronounced dead at 9:15 a.m. Curtis lived on Cape Cod since 1978, and was a student at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. He was the son of Tony Curtis' third wife, Leslie, who lives in Dennis. A keyboard musician and artist who painted and drew in all mediums, Nicholas Curtis also wrote poetry and had appeared in several films. Besides his mother and father, he is survived by his stepfather, Donald Peccerill, four sisters, two brothers and a grandmother. A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Quivet Neck Cemetery in East Dennis. (Published in "The Day" on JUL 6, 1994)
