John Jackson was a victim of the Halifax Explosion.
He was killed along with his wife. Their only child, Dorothy, survived.

John was the son of James Stephen Jackson and Elizabeth Halloran.

He married Mary Louisa MacDonald and they had two children:
Dorothy Delarosa (born 22 Jan 1911)
Unnamed Daughter (Stillborn 1911)
There is the chance the two girls were twins.

He was a member of the extended Jackson family of Halifax. It is believed this family suffered the worse losses from the Explosion. Around sixty-four members of the extended family were in Halifax at the time and forty-six died.

John and his wife were both killed in the explosion. They are buried in Mount Olivet.

Their daughter Dorothy was taken in by John's brother, James. She later moved to the US.
