Ermita Catherine (Krepps) Payne was born in Oklahoma City, OK on October 6, 1927 to William B. & Ermita (Grant) Krepps. She passed from this life December 23, 2011 at the age of 84.

Ermita attended schools in Tulsa and Oklahoma City graduating from Classen High School and attending the University of Oklahoma where she was a member of Delta Gamma. She married the love of her life, Wesley Ray Payne, Jr. on January 2, 1947 and enjoyed 64 years of marriage. She was a past member of the Junior Board of Children's Day Nursery and also a Junior Board Member of the Tulsa Cerebral Palsy Association. She loved her home and family. She loved to play bridge and was a member of several clubs.

Ermita was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Billy Joe Krepps; and her sister, Jane L. Jenkins. She is survived by her husband who is retired from Butler Paper Company; her daughter, Cathey Atkins; her son, Wesley Ray Payne III and his wife, Connie; her grandchildren, Matt Moorman and Chris Atkins; her brother, George Krepps; her sister, Lillian Bates; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to LIFE Senior Services, 5950 E 31st Street, Tulsa, OK 74135. A funeral will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel.
