Edith Bayless age 94 of Hollis, died on Tuesday January 18, 2011. Edith was born on September 23, 1916 in the Sandy Community of Harmon County to Willie and Kate Hulse Estes. She married Scivern Bayless on November 5, 1939 in Gould. He died in 1987.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Truman Estes and two sisters: Lorene Estes and Gladys Manney.
Edith was a member of the First Baptist Church where she was very active in its activities including the funeral committee, VBS refreshments, and the 50 Up Group. She had worked at Harmon County Electric Coop and the Dodson Bank.
Survivors include a sister-in-law Paulene Estes of Hollis and several nieces and nephews.

She attended O M Schools thru the 10th grade and graduated from Arnett High School in 1932, then attended Business College for one year, majoring in accounting. Edith gave her life to Christ at the Hope Baptist Church, Sandy Community, Harmon County, Oklahoma. As an adult she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hollis, serving on the Benevolence Committee, Vacation Bible School refreshments and the 50 UP Group.
