"Herbert" Leon Morgan b. 4/4/1926 - Killed in World War II

"Olen" D'Meral Morgan b. 2/10/1928 [Minister/Evangelist].

Pop's dad was T. R. [Tom] Morgan, and he and his wife were witnesses on the marriage certificate of Ida Lee Thornton of Opelika, and William Randle Morgan of Opelika, Ala.

Pop went blind in his later years due to diabetes.

Notes gleaned from back of plate that was passed down from the Morgan family: Jess Angline was born 1869. It is believed she is the mother of Wm. Randle b. 1882, and Lela b. 1889.

My mother in law , Nellogene "Jean" Morgan Dyer Little, was given an antique plate on Oct 24, 1948 by her "Aunt Lela", with note on back stating it was a wedding gift in 1860 to Jess Angline's mother in Opelika, AL. [Is Jess Angline the wife of Tom Morgan who witnessed the marriage license of Wm. Randle and Ida Lee [Pop and Big Mama]?

I am keeping these names intact on this memorial for the purpose of having them for further research. Any additional info would be appreciated as to the Morgan family in Opelika, AL.
