William Ronald "Ronnie" Allen

69, a former life long resident of Lincoln, Arkansas passed away April 14, 2006, at Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born May 8, 1936, at Prairie Grove, Arkansas the son of George D. and Annie Brooks Allen.

Ronnie was a veteran of the United States Air Force; he was an apple grower, poultry and cattle farmer at Apple Town; he was the first chairman and one of the driving forces behind the annual Lincoln Apple Festival; he served many years on the Lincoln School Board; he was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Lincoln Kiwanis Club; he was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Lincoln; he was a board member of the Ozarks Electric Cooperative for more than twenty years; he was the board member of the Oklahoma Arkansas Electric Coop; he was a realtor with Legends Realty of Farmington; he loved to golf and spend time with his grandchildren and friends.

He was preceded in death by one brother, George D. Allen Jr.

Survivors include his wife of forty eight years Gayle Rodgers Allen of the home; one son, Jonathan Allen and wife Lisa of Lincoln, Arkansas; one daughter, Rhonda Prenger and husband Mark of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two sisters, Amy Scales of Ft. Smith, Arkansas and Carolyn Thibeau of Monterey, California; four grandchildren Caroline Prenger, Kim Prenger, Lauren Allen and Payton Allen; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Luginbuel Chapel.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, April 17, 2006 - 2:00 P.M. at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove with Rev. Dan Wooley officiating. A private grave side service will be in Bethesda Cemetery, Morrow, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Larry Baggett, Billy Joe Bartholomew, Joe Lynn Carson, Dusty Richards, Jerry Bolinger, Mitchell Johnson, Charles Cosby, Earl Crudup, and Phil Tooley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the First United Presbyterian Church of Lincoln,
P.O. Box 968 - Lincoln, AR 72744.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
