On July 15, 1992, at approximately 11:10 pm, Erica Espinoza was killed during a drive-by shooting while standing at her front door at 5015 Rita in San Antonio Texas. Neither she nor her home were the intended targets of the drive-by. The intended target was a neighbor. A second person was also hit by the drive-by shooting but survived.
Several suspects were identified in this case, and the driver of the vehicle stood trial for the murder and was found guilty. He is currently serving time for murder; however, there was not enough information to prosecute the actual shooter in this case. Police are still seeking information on the shooter. He was described as a Latin male, 17-19 years of age (in 1992). The vehicle was a black Honda Accord.
