Eliza Jane Gitthens, aged 85 years, died at the home of her son, M. W. Gitthens, north of Douglas, last Monday night. She was born in Missouri January 2, 1835, and has made her home with her son in this county for a number of years. Death was caused by old age. Funeral services were held from the home yesterday, Rev. W. H. L. Marshall officiating. Burial was in Douglas cemetery.
