Mrs. Helen E. Black, age 92 of Marietta, passed away September 17, 2011. She was a member of Church of God for over 50 years. Mrs. Black was a special and amazing person who will be remembered as an inspiration to everyone she touched and a true example of God's unconditional love. She will be deeply missed.
Mrs. Black was preceded in death by her parents Ray Dean and Betty Josephine Nye, her beloved husband Lilburn Arthur Black, Sr. and her daughter Judith Ann Remlinger. She is survived by her sons William Raymond Black of Orlando, FL, Lilburn A. "Bub" Black Jr. and wife Deborah of Orlando, Donald Allan Black of Port Charlotte, FL; daughters Bobbie Maccani and late husband Frank of Port Charlotte, FL and Nicole Taylor and husband Jon of Sevierville, TN; 17 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at 3:00pm at the chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Gore officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-9pm on Monday, September 19, 2011 and from 10-3pm on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 prior to the service.
