Mr. Casburn was born in Graham. His parents were pioneer residents of Young County. Mr. Casburn as a long-time member of First United Methodist Church, 32nd degree Mason and member of the Scottish Rite.

Survived by his wife - Mrs. Irene Casburn; one son - Johnnie Casburn; two daughters - Josephine Hunter and Joyce Welton; one brother - Randolph Casburn; one step-son - J.B. Gilmore; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
