Coloma Resident Dies.
Funeral rites for J. W. Smith, 74, who died at his home in that village Sunday morning, were held yesterday afternoon, Rev. J. H. Balfour of the Coloma Community church officiating with burial at the Coloma cemetery.
Mr. Smith had been a resident of Coloma for 30 years. His death followed a long illness. A widow, eight children and ten grandchildren survive. The eight children are Alva of Des Moines, Ia.; Charles, William, and Irven, Coloma, and Mesdames Andrew Lyddick and Charles Lyddick, Buchanan; Mrs. Clarence Butzbach, Coloma; Mrs. D. C. Lundgren, Boswell, New Mexico. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. Ella May (D. C.)Peck of Coloma, and a brother, Benjamin, of Boswell, N. M.
