Eddie Brown was attacked in the morning of January 22, 1992, as he was walking to work. His routine was to open the gas station for business very early each morning, and he managed to make it there before he was found. Eddie liked to have the store all warmed up for kids to wait inside for the school bus. His attacker robbed him. Eddie passed away from his injuries at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley WV on February 20, 1992.
Eddie had a sweet smile, laughing eyes, and a warm and gentle heart. He was kind, generous, and trusting.
Eddie was the son of John Woodie Brown and Ethel Lovell.
He was survived by his brothers Glen and Howard, sister Ola, and nephews Charlie and Glen, Jr.
The murder of this beloved man has never been solved.
