Verne James Barton 87 of Wellington died Saturday December 10, 2011.
Services will be at 1 pm Monday in First Baptist Church with Keith Martin officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Verne was born October 3, 1924 in Wellington to Merritt L. and Janie Fourmentin James. She graduated with the Wellington High School Class of 1942. She married Bob Barton on January 1, 1947 in Wellington he died in 2000. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters.
Survivors include a daughter Jackie Wilkerson and husband Billy of Wellington; two grandchildren; Bobby Wilkerson and wife Amy of Claude and Janie Duncan and husband Brent of Wellington; four great-great-grandchildren: Tate and McKay Wilkerson, Rowdy and Allie Duncan.
