Funeral services for Verlin Rich were held 10:00 am Tuesday, April 30, 2002 at the Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. David Beaver officiating.
Interment followed at the Chalk Bluff Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
Verlin, son of Harry Fred Rich and Arminda (Bean) Rich, was born February 6, 1916 in Newton Co., AR. He departed this life April 26, 2002 at his home near Stilwell at the age of 86 years, 2 months and 20 days.
He was a farmer and was of the Baptist faith. He especially loved gardening and his pets. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter,
Gaylene Alva Hogan, and six brothers.
Verlin is survived by two sons, Eddie Rich and wife Tina and Eugene Rich and wife Susan, all of Stilwell, three daughters, Connye Velazquez and
husband Jose of Stilwell, Patsy Espinosa of Garden City, KS, Debbie Torres and husband Anselmo of Lexington, NE. Nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, two brothers, Emerald Rich of Stilwell, and Alva Rich of Sacramento, CA, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends and loved ones.
