Vic was many things to many people. Kind and loving, fiercely loyal, creative and bright, a go-to ear when a good listener was needed, protector, supporter, giver, and gentle supplier of the truth as he saw it. He was unique and gifted with a bright and agile mind and exceptional skills to see ten moves ahead. He was a builder who did fine work and would not cut a corner even if ordered to. He turned down work so co-workers with families could provide, he covered the rent of a friend in need, and he could be so selfless. He was a magnet to kids, they loved him and he them, and at family gatherings the little ones were all over Vic--like a jungle gym. He loved animals and was gentle and kind with older folks. There dwelled in him a truly sweet and fine heart. He was also strong-willed and without fail, lived life exactly how he chose. Not one for going the conventional path or always following the rules, he did it his way and knowingly took the risks involved. If he believed he was right or just focused on a goal, no force, neither his family nor his friends, ever found that could change his mind. He challenged his parents until there was nothing left but to love him just as he was, and that is what we did. Vic had a dream of a piece of property, a family, and maybe a construction business. He went to Los Angeles to speed that dream along. We only wish he was ready to come home just one day sooner. He will be so lovingly missed by so many.
