E. Y. Goode, one of the pioneer citizens of Grayson, died at his home seven miles northwest of Sherman Wednesday afternoon at 6 o'clock. Mr. Goode was 68 years of age, and for the past sixty years had lived in Grayson county, He was buried in West Hill Cemetery yesterday afternoon, following services at the residence. Mr. Goode is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sallie Goode, three sons, W. B., Frank and Ed Goode and five daughters, Mr. H. G. Wallace, Mrs. Jim Dunning, Mrs. Al Clark and Misses Lou Eddie and Myrtle Goode.
