Mark G. Morrone Sr of Guilford, Connecticut, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Husband of Debra A Cocchiaro Morrone. Born in New Haven on April 8, 1955; son of the late George and Eleanor Savo Morrone.
Mark dedicated over 30 years of his life as co owner of Morrone's Service Center, Inc. formerly in North Haven. There he expressed his love and passion of repairing automobiles for hiscustomers while running a family business with his father and brother. Later he worked as an emissions agent for the department of motor vehicles.
He is the father of Mark (Kelly Desteph) Morrone Jr of Middletown and Daniel Morrone of Washington DC. Step father to Michael Warden, James (Kristina) Warden all of Hamden and Tara Warden of East Haven. Grandfather of Lucas & Dylan Morrone and Mckayla Warden. Brother of Thomas Morrone of North Haven and Gregory Morrone of Wallingford. Predeceased by his first wife Theresa A. Morrone.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., Friday morning at 9:15. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St George's Church, Guilford at 10:00 am. Internment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 pm.
