Frank was born in Deputy, Indiana. He went to King City high school where he played on the "Little Giants" baseball team. At the Univ. of Missouri he was a star athlete and lettered 12 times in baseball and football. He served as a Major in WWI on General Leonard Wood's staff after he was inducted on 8/15/1917. While setting up his civilian career he gained a law degree, served for 4 years as the prosecuting attorney of Gentry County, practiced law in Stansberry and in his last 12 years devoted his energy to the insurance industry in Kansas City. He died of a heart attack at his father's home.
