John Ferris Bergholm, 83, of Aurora, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2003 at Rush-Copley Medical Center. He was born June 23, 1920 in Aurora, IL, son of the late August and Grace (Baxter) Bergholm.
    John was the former caretaker for Riverside Cemetery and Spring Lake Cemetery. He was currently the caretaker for the West Aurora Cemetery.
    Survivors include his wife, Alice (Reynolds) of Aurora; daughter, Elaine (Bergholm) Shepard of Etta, Mississippi; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two step-children, Jerry Zaha of Aurora, IL and Cathy Peeler of Dongola, Illinois, USA; four step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nieces.
    John was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; one step-grandchild; and one step-son.
    Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2003 at 1 p.m. from The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Place, Aurora. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 18, 2003 from 4-8 p.m. at our Aurora facility. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery.
    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Bergholm family.
