She married the love of her life, a charming Frenchman, Percy Robert Godier and they had two sons. Dolores was a beautician and managed the Artiste chain of beauty salons in the St. Louis area for many years. She enjoyed baking, especially sweet treats, and everyone looked forward to receiving her home baked cookies at Christmas; Nite-nite cookies were a favorite! Dolores was a talented seamstress, known for making many of her own clothes and home decor items. She enjoyed and was an accomplished bowler, who loved ballroom dancing with her beloved husband 'Percy'. They were a perfect pair, whose personalities complemented one another.
Dolores was an Irish woman of spirit, an independent soul, quick to speak her mind, a strong-willed woman who overcame the adversity of breast and lung cancer, yet a woman of compassion who was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need whether it be money, food, clothing or shelter. She truly enjoyed people, and living life to the fullest. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandma to her two sons and four grandchildren.
