Phyllis Annette (Stowe) Ballantini (45) was born 5/14/1964 & passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2010.

Survivors include her daughter, Erica Wanous and son Luc Ballantini.

Phyllis was born in Muncie and graduated from Southside High School in 1982 where she was active in gymnastics and cheerleading. Phyllis then lived in TX, L, and spent most of her remaining life in Indianapolis, IN.

She was the founder of a nonprofit organization that assisted children in orphanges oversees and was also co-owner of a telecommunications company. It was her deep compassion for helping children that prompted her to start her nonprofit organization. Having visited a destitute orphanage in Kazakhstan, where she adopted her baby son in 2000, she was heartbroken by the children's living conditions. Since then she has traveled to many orphanages worldwide, spreading her gifts, such as toys, food, clothes, medicine and her love to the children and caregivers in need. Before founding her organization, Phyllis dedicated her time to a number of worthy causes. While living in Houston, she received a college Degree in Business while working for The Abused Children of TX, and also worked as a preschool teacher. As President of Phi Gamma in TX, Phyllis also organized activity programs that promoted improvements in the quality of life for seniors citizens. She then transferred her efforts back to business where she was the National Account Manager for Trans Union in IN and organized charitable events to local causes like the Riley Children's Hospital. Other philanthropic work was extended to abused women, animal rights, the homeless and more.

A "Celebration of Her Life" was held 11:30 a.m., Friday, April 30, 2010 at Meeks Mortuary in Muncie. Per her wishes, cremation followed. No burial services have been held yet pending her death investigation.
