BLOUGH - Rev. Duane Paul, 58, Stonycreek Township, passed away Sept. 3, 2010, after a long battle with cancer. Born July 28, 1952, in Johnstown, son of the late Don and Olive (Mock) Blough. Survived by his wife of 36 years, Pamela (Drake); daughter, Joya, wife of David Clark, Chesterfield Township, Mich.; son, MSgt Kenyon Blough, married to the former Erin Moss, Fort Dix, N.J.; granddaughter, Sara Grace Blough; grandson, Matthew Hunter Blough; and sister, Donna R., wife of Joseph Stawarz, Windber. Duane was a 1970 graduate of Johnstown High School and was actively involved with his youth group at Christian & Missionary Church at Belmont and Arbutus avenues. He graduated from Nyack College in 1974 and later earned a master's degree from Alliance Theological Seminary. Duane worked for Fi-Hoff Concrete during summers when in college. Rev. Blough pastored seven churches in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan. After his return to Johnstown about 10 years ago, while pastoring, he enjoyed driving school bus for McIlwain. Duane was an avid hunter and especially enjoyed those times in the woods with his son. He also was an enthusiastic sports fan of the Pittsburgh teams and Penn State. He enjoyed sharing the games with his children. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 5, at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, and for one hour prior to the funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday at Crossroads Community Church, 1259 Scalp Avenue (next to Richland fire hall), the Rev. David Mishler, officiating. Private interment will be at Richland Cemetery. For those who wish, the family suggests that donations be made in memory of Rev. Blough to Crossroads Community Church.
