Visitation will be at 10 am Friday, December 2, 2011 at Knox Knolls Free Methodist Church in Springfield, IL. followed by the funeral service at 11. Burial will be at 2 pm at New Union Cemetery in Lincoln. Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln is handling arrangements.
She was born March 9, 1947 to John and Lillis Borders in Decatur, IL. Her parents preceded her in death.
She is survived by one son, Jon Adams (Shala) of Delevan, IL; one daughter, Michelle Adams of Springfield, one step-daughter, Debbie Hubner and family of Lincoln, six grandchildren: Ambrielle, Gabriel, Brandon, Hunter, Colin and Isabella. She is also survived by brothers Robert (Kay) Borders of Decatur, Ronald (Phylis) Borders of Palmdale, CA and sister, Carol Borders of Springfield and Sherri (David) Koster of Galiano Island, BC, Canada, thirteen nieces and nephews, great-niece and nephews, two aunts and numerous cousins and friends. Donna's grandchildren were the light of her life. She will be remembered for her love for her family, her large collection of angels and her enthusiasm for gospel music. She will be greatly missed.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Johns Hospice or to the family.
