-On Oct. 9, 2006, Eva S. Begines passed away in her home. Eva was born on June 11, 1929, in Copenhagen, Denmark to Frithjof and Dagmar (Nissen) Sandstrom. Eva was a person who enjoyed life and people. Eva's zeal, laughter and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone Eva ever met. Eva loved new challenges, whether it was skiing, golfing or artistic pursuits. What Eva enjoyed most of all was traveling, meeting and helping people. The greatest gift Eva had was her wisdom and compassion. Eva served as a flight attendant for Scandanavia Airlines and most recently as a freelance tour guide. Eva moved to the United States in 1961. In 1964 Eva met and wed the love of her life Nicholas Begines. In 1967 Eva became a United States citizen. Eva and Nick moved to Coeur d'Alene in 1991. Eva was an active member of the Happy Family Club, Eagles and VFW. Eva was preceded in death by spouse Nicholas Begines in 2000. Survivors include sons, Torben Gegines and wife Kathy of Hayden, Sven Henriksen and wife Karen of Coeur d'Alene, Robert Henriksen and wife Laura of Texas; stepson Nicholas Begines Jr. and wife Clara of Tennessee; grandchildren, Ty and Tiffany Begines, Erik, Jennifer and Michael Henriksen, Melissa and Debbie Henriksen, Brittany Begines and companion: James Cabaniss.
-Eva will be laid to rest at Coeur d'Alene Memorial Gardens, Coeur d'Alene. There will be no formal service in honor of Eva's request. ENGLISH FUNERAL CHAPEL, Coeur d'Alene, is in charge of the cremation.
