Warren served his country as a Captain in the United States Navy during World War II and Korea.

Nickname "Beans." Graduated US Naval Academy class of 1931. Naval Aviator, Served in Jack Davison's father's squadron in 1941, when they were sent to eatablish the Lend-Lease naval air base in Bermuda, to fly the Neutralty Patrol, and "spent the summer searching for the Bismarck and hoping they would not find her," as Jack Davison's dad told it.
