David, 58, went to be with The Lord suddenly on Saturday. David was the son of John and Joyce (Hansen) Mataya.

David enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved the beach and vacationing in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he married his wife, Jitka.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce and brother, Rick Falsetta.

David is survived by his loving wife of 5 years, Jitka; children Diana (Dan) Mataya, David Mataya and Alicia Mataya; siblings, Terry (Carolyn) Carpenter, Tim (Kelly) Carpenter, Toni (Mark) Falsetta, Billy (Lori) Falsetta, Jim Mataya and John Mataya; father, William Falsetta; step-children, Michaela Moravcova and Ondrej Moravec; grandchildren, Devin Mataya, Ashanty Mataya, William Matthews, Nevaeh Mataya, Zoee Mataya and Heaven Davies. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and friends.

Celebration of the Funeral Mass was Saturday, December 3, 2011, at St. Casimir Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. William Lugger as celebrant.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Casimir Catholic Church or St. Vincent DePaul Society in memory of David.
