Foy Edward Lowe, 88, passed away on November 28, 2011.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Springtown Church of Christ. Interment: Cottondale Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at White's Funeral Home.

Foy loved the Lord his God with all his passion, prayer and intelligence. He loved others as well as he loved himself. Foy Lowe was a great man because he was a servant to all. Foy was born on June 7, 1923 to Josh and Hazel Lowe. He fell in love with a beautiful young lady, Williadene "Billie" Coffman, and they married on May 2, 1941. Foy and Billie were inseparable for 70+ years. They took care of each other for as long as they both lived on this earth. Their love for each other produced three wonderful children, Marshall, Roger, and Lynda. Foy served his country in the Pacific during WWII. Following the war, he served as salesman and eventually retired as an executive for Franklin Labs after 30+ years. Foy's job required he and Billie to move for brief periods of time, but Springtown, Texas was always home. Foy and Billie loved Springtown and its people. Foy served the people of Springtown as their mayor for several years. Foy and Billie loved their church family that extended to many places around the world, but specifically the members of the Church of Christ in Springtown. Foy served faithfully as an elder of the church for 40+ years. Foy and Billie's true love was their family of 3 children, 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.

Proverbs 20:7 says, "God-loyal people, living honest lives, make it much easier for their children." As Foy and Billie's family, we celebrate Foy's exhilarating finish in and with God, and his eternity in heaven. Pappaw, we thank you for making it much easier for your children.

Foy was preceded in death by his parents, Josh and Hazel "Dude" Lowe; his brother, M L Lowe; his daughter-in-law, Freda Lowe; and his great grandson Ryan Lowe.

Survivors: His loving wife of 70 years, Billie; sons, Marshall Lowe and wife Shirley of Springtown, Roger Lowe and wife Ellen of Watauga; daughter Lynda Bryant and husband Bill of Poolville; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.
